The Book Shelf

Hmmmm.... what shall I read today?

I'm really good at pulling myself up on the couch, walking over to the lamp, and then holding the lamp until I reach the book shelf.

I love moving the lamp back and forth but Mama always tells me not to do it.

I love my gorilla, Buba. Mama chants, "Buba! Buba!" when we walk into the TV room and I get really excited and crawl over to Buba and put him in Mama's lap.
I have on Brock's warm PJs. Mama bought them for Brock when he was my age. It's fun to wear his clothes!

Sunday 10/25 pictures

It rained all day today. Mama and I were bored at the end of the day, so we made some cookies and shared them with our neighbors. One of my neighbors is 1 year old and he has a dog named Luna. The dog licked me! I love dogs just like my Grandpa and Grandma and Daddy. I'm not afraid of them like Mama is.

There are a lot of pumpkins and scarecrows on our walking route. I wave to them when Mama says, "Say HI to the pumpkin," or "Say HI to the scarecrow!"

I have been going to bed by 6PM lately. Mama doesn't like it because she misses having family time when Daddy gets home at 6. Today Daddy got home at 5:20PM but I wanted to get in bed by 5:30PM! I just play a lot more and I'm tired at the end of the day.

Did I tell you that I took 3 steps yesterday? One of these days I'm going to be walking.

Fun socks!

Thanks so much for the socks, Grandpa and Grandma! I love to wear them. The first night I got them, I wore them under my PJs and Daddy thought it was so cool that my feet glowed in the dark!

new car seat

Daddy and Mama bought me a new car seat and I can actually tolerate sitting in the back seat by myself. In fact, it was kind of fun looking out the front window. Mama graduated back to the front seat after 10 months of sitting with me in the back and frequently asking Daddy to turn up the air conditioner.

practicing my wave...

Mama makes a fall dessert once a year. Doesn't it look delicious? This year she changed the recipe just a bit and used peanut butter instead of butter for the cake bottom! Yum.

I am really good at turning light switches on and off. I like to do it every day.

my week without a computer

Lunch date with Daddy.

My church outfit from Uncle George & Aunt Joan.
Mama's laptop DIED last Friday. The repair man said it would cost more to fix it than to buy a new one. We had to wait until Thursday to buy a computer (Windows 7), and we went to purchase one, the brand we wanted was all gone, so Daddy picked up a new laptop for us on Friday!
We have had a busy week. Daddy and Mama finally bought outlet covers last Saturday because I noticed that the outlets have fun little holes and I wanted to stick my fingers in them. It rained a lot this week so we met Daddy at Wendy's for lunch. They had some cool balloons there and I was good in the car as Mama drove me to meet him.
I like to read the newspaper. They had a dog contest, so I liked all the pictures that were submitted. Daddy might not like it that I read his paper before he gets home. I took my first step on Tuesday, Oct. 20th! I was upstairs with Daddy and Mama and I thought it was really funny how I'd stand up on the couch, take two steps, and fall on my face.
I am really interested in candles now. Mama made fish one day and needed a candle to get the fishy smell out of the house, so when she lit the candle and smelled it, I started making sounds with my nose just like Mama. Every time she snifs and says, "Ah," I look at the candle. I also know where Mama keeps the bananas. When she asks me if I want a banana, I point to the banana basket and get really excited.
Yesterday the Godfreys visited me! I got to play with Brock and Evie and they brought me a huge box of toys and lots of clothes! I played all day with the new toys. There was also a surprise birthday gift from Papa and Nanny! You'll see pictures of my very own blue chair soon! Thanks so much!!! I also got some Halloween gifts in the mail from Grandpa and Grandma and Papa and Nanny. I'll write more about that soon!!
Since this is a new computer, Mama can't figure out how to get more pictures on this blog, so she'll put them on later.
