For Jeremy & Jen...

We're finally putting the rocking chairs together tonight!! Jeremy & Jen gave us these generous gifts!! We can't wait to use them on our front porch! Jason's boss and boys came over to help since we are clueless on home projects! (It required glue and a soft mallet!)

I'm sad that my little nephew, Micah, lives in Taiwan.... I wish he were closer! He looks like a great student!

Last year on April 9th...

Last year I awoke early... I tried a pregnancy test and for the first time, saw a positive result! We were so excited! This year, Robert awoke early to eat and I started some major spring cleaning as he went back to sleep! What a difference one year makes!

Those who know us well, know that we've longed to have children for many years! The last five years I knew it would be impossible for me to have children... and was praying that the Lord would heal my body and allow me to be able to conceive.

Well, on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at 4:30 AM, we received the wonderful surprise that we are expecting!!! We are elated!!!

I received a call from my doctor on January 30, 2008, the same day we had the closing of our new home, that I was expecting! On January 31, however, I miscarried. I knew the Lord had given me the verse below last fall, and I couldn't seem to understand.... I wasn't very joyful!... but the Lord has graciously allowed us to get pregnant again. We covet your prayers for healthy baby!

Psalm 113: 9

He maketh the barren woman to keep home, and to be the joyful mother of children.

Praise the Lord!

The Sawatzkys sent Jason a gift certificate for dining out for his birthday! We finally had a chance to use it today at a great Irish restaurant after church. We split a huge chicken quesadilla (the other half is on my plate!) and Jason got roast beef and I got a huge salad! YUMMY! We had such a great, relaxing time. Thanks so much!
