May 31, 09 = 6 years of marriage

Mama is INTO coupons once again and purchased this Carvel ice-cream cake for $3.99! Mama and Daddy snuck downstairs to have a piece last night after they put me to sleep!

24 weeks old

Mama only had 2 lessons today, so I had LOTS of play time! We even went to Walmart to get some diapers and household things.

I slept until 8:10AM this morning.... Mama almost had to wake me up for the 8:30 lesson! We might go swimming tonight! It is a little too hot for me during the day. Daddy and Mama will celebrate their 6th anniversary on Sunday, May 31!

Reading time

Mama says it is very important to learn how to read and to enjoy reading. I'm starting to like books more and more each day. Nanny and Papa gave me these 3 books (and others, too!). I think they are my favorites. Each one does something really cool. If only Daddy's law books were this exciting! (One more video to follow soon!)

Daddy and me

I don't look like a little baby any more. Last night when Mama and Daddy thought I was sleeping in my crib, I heard them playing some old videos when I was first born in the hospital. I think I heard Mama cry. She says she can hardly remember me being that little!

I like it when Daddy finally comes home from a long day at work! Mama is fun and all, but I like it best when both of them play with me! Mama says after 12 hours of holding me, she needs Daddy to hold me for a bit when he comes home because her arms are tired. Daddy decided that since we've been in the home more than a year and haven't yet used the jacuzzi, we should try it out! We filled the tub and kept pushing the "on" button, but nothing happened! Then Daddy had a great idea.... turn on the circuit breaker switch in the garage!

By the way, do you see my July 4th shirt? I like to wear it because that's Daddy's next day off.

Wednesday morning pictures

I think Aunt Jen gave me this red onesie from Kohls! I am wearing some 6-9 month clothes because I am SO BIG!

I never want to forget how special and wonderful it is to see Robert in the morning as he awakes! Yesterday we had to get him up so we could get to the mall on time for his pictures! He had been taking a long early morning nap!

My first time to the pool....

We went to the pool for the first time this year! Unfortunately. it started to rain right before we got there, but we decided to stick our toes in really quickly first! I will like to go back and get in all the way soon!

Mama let me lick an apple and I loved it!! She also let me lick a yam and I really liked that!! I'm going to stick to milk until I'm past 6 months, though.

Happy Memorial Day weekend!!

Yeah! Daddy has Monday off so we will have a fun 3-day weekend! We still haven't gone to the pool so I hope we go this weekend. Aunt Reba sent me a cool swimsuit that I get to wear.

Did I mention that I am wearing size 3 diapers now?!

Mama's big mistake!!

Mama decided it was time to clip my nails yesterday. She doesn't like it when I scratch my face (or hers)! Unfortunately, I was a bit too squirmy (who wouldn't be?), and Mama cut a little piece of my skin next to my nail on the third finger of my right hand and it started to bleed! I gave her a "What did you do that for?" look and went back to my own business eating my toes and reaching for Mama's hair. Mama looked pale as a ghost and kept apologizing and was on the phone with Daddy and Nanny and Papa wondering what to do next. She was all stressed out. I guess my finger was bleeding for what seemed like a long time to Mama and she kept holding my finger with a cold cloth for about an hour! When Daddy got home, he kept looking at it and he held it, too. Finally, they put a bandaid on me and I kept looking at it and wondering why it was on my finger. I was smiling the whole time, so Mama and Daddy weren't nervous anymore. They finally put me to bed. I slept great, but today I was exhausted from all the commotion yesterday! I awoke at 6:15AM, but slept from 7:15-9:00 and 10:15-past noon (I'm still sleeping). Mama still felt badly this morning, but I've been smiling at her so she won't worry about it anymore.

1, 2, 3 and UP!

Mama always counts to 3 and then I stand up! Lately I don't want to wait until "3" and I stand up before Mama says "2". I signed up for a program at our library where I receive a free book once a month in the mail. My first book ("The Little Train That Could") came yesterday!

CFF Great Strides Walk - Charlotte

The team shirt was a bit big on Robert, but he was a good sport!

Robert gets into a "zone" at night. He loves to talk and try to mimic what I say. It is so cute.

22 weeks old!

I am going to the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis walk today at 9AM in downtown Charlotte for Mama's little piano student, Caroline. It is her birthday today, so we are bringing her a gift. The walk is 2.1 miles, but there are stops along the way (Baskin Robins ice cream break!) in case I don't feel like sitting in my stroller the whole time. Mama is taking the camera, so she'll be sure to take some pictures of me there. Thank you, Uncle Daniel and Aunt Candice, Grandpa and Grandma Hildebrand, and Aunt Rebekah and Uncle Ben Godfrey for supporting us to walk today!
