First South Carolina Piano Recital!

Well, it was I who planned a piano recital on my anniversary :), but I was so pleased how all the kids did! Rebekah and Ben and Brock came for the day and they were such a blessing to help with the reception afterwards!

Brock is so big now! He runs like the wind, speaks big words, makes you laugh with funny expressions, eats a huge variety of food, plays hard forever without taking a break (I really don't know how Rebekah does it all day!), and says goodbye with great big bear hugs. We've got great nephews!

Rebekah was able to snap a few pictures for me. The cute doggie cake is from Mom and Dad via Godfrey's Lexus delivery. I was given some beautiful flowers.

Happy flower

Last night I was feeling really sick, and Jason was craving ice-cream, so since his gas tank was empty, he ran a few errands by himself. He came home with this really pretty yellow flower and I definately felt better! That was so thoughtful of him!
P.S. He did get his peanut-butter ice-cream!

To God Be the Glory..... GREAT things He hath done!

Tommy Walker.

Our music pastor often uses his music during our singing time. Enjoy listening to his arrangement of "To God Be the Glory."

Walk for Cystic Fibrosis

Thank you so much to everyone who supported CF for the Great Strides walk! CF Charlotte raised over $280,000 for research! We supported Team Theresa and Caroline in our neon green shirts! Caroline is holding a colorful hat because our team raised more than $10,000! (Caroline is one of my piano students.) Four other piano students were also walking! They fed us very well! We had donuts, drinks, bananas, ice-cream, pretzels, potato chips, cookies, and subs. Caroline's birthday is tomorrow. Jason made sure to pet every dog he could.

I Corinthians 13

What is true love?

v. 4 : Love is patient and is kind; love is not jealous and love does not boast.
v.5: Love is not rude and doesn't insist on her own way. Love is not easily angered or offended or resentful. Love doesn't keep a record of wrongs. Love is not self-piteous.
v. 6: Love doesn't rejoice when others fall into sin, but love rejoices in the truth.
v. 7: Love bears all things, love believes the best of others, and love never gives up.

Isn't that beautiful?

Read the verses once again and substitute my mom's name for the word LOVE. (Our pastor suggested that!) Isn't it wonderful that certain people in our lives can be such wonderful examples of love to us? I'm so thankful for my mom! She thinks the best of others, she is so generous, she is always full of energy and excited about life, and she is so extreemly encouraging & helpful to my dad, to all of us, to many friends, and to a whole church family. Someday I hope that I'll be able to substitute my name in those verses. God's still working on me. These verses can be a wonderful prayer to pray for yourself and the people you love.
