Mama took this picture last week before I broke my foot. That's why I don't have a cast on in this picture. I like my horsie and leopard!

sitting up
I didn't mean to say Boppy; I think it's called a Bumba seat. (We have a Boppy, too, so I got mixed up!) Anyway, I love Elaina's expressions!

New News....
My sweet Robert is growing up way too fast. I can hardly keep record of what he's doing next! Here are just a few things you might like to know...
- Robert loves his TOO HEAVY toys. It is a box of blocks, cars, and miscellaneous toys that are kept on top of our washer. I once told him they were too heavy to get down and that he had to wait for Daddy to get home. Now he thinks only Daddy and he can play them. He asks Daddy to play "too heavy toys" the minute he walks in the door from work.
- Yesterday Robert picked up my old cell phone which I let him use and "called" Daddy, to say that "[when you come] home, play too heavy toys, Daddy-da." It was so cute and I also caught him saying, "Mama, Baby Elaina..." during his conversation. He also "calls" his neighbor friend, Alex, when he wants to meet him for a walk or at the park.
- Meow the leopard is the newest member of his bedtime buddies. He fell in love with him in Manton and Nanny was kind to let Robert keep him!
- Robert loves peanut butter and jam sandwiches. He asks for "peanutbutt" all the time. He can't quite say the whole word yet! Glad he didn't get Grandpa's or Micah's peanut allergy!
- Robert can play Hot Cross Buns on the piano!
- Robert LOVES Curious George. He asks to watch "ooh-ahh" with Daddy when I am at rehearsal on Wednesday nights. He remembers every episode.
- Robert was so cute that a lady from McDonald's at the O'Hare airport gave him a free ice cream cone as we were passing by. He just about ate the whole thing.
- Robert knows how many quarters it takes to buy/get a candybar, a chicken biscuit, ice cream at Target, and a cart at Aldi. He loves counting money in his bank. He can count to ten and is very accurate!
- Robert knows his whole alphabet, most of the books of the Bible in order from the NT, and quite a few verses. He loves to sing and makes up his own songs. Once I caught him saying he was writing a song for Daddy.
- Robert asks for "two bites" from Daddy if Daddy is enjoying a cookie or ice cream or something unhealthy! His bites are getting really big!
- Robert went to his first Fun Friday at our pool today. He played the games with the big kids and had so much fun. I think he was the youngest one there. He dove for pennies and got 12.
- Robert loves writing letters and trying to put the letters into an envelope and then into the mailbox.
- Robert has a ton of fun with play-doh and uses plastic silverware to cut it.
- Robert says, "Amen!" after we pray and reminds me that we need to pray for meal times or snack times. He knows he can start eating when we finish!
- Robert is actually starting to read a few words in books. He knows most of our books by heart. I often leave off words just to see if he knows them.
- Robert really enjoys his Sunday School class at church. He calls out, "Bye!" to us and always has a smile on his face when he returns. He loves eating fish crackers there.
Elaina is as sweet as can be. Smiles come so easy and she coos and laughs all the time. She can turn over and she just noticed her toes! She is starting to drool all the time. I wonder if her teeth are going to come in soon. She lights up when she hears Robert or sees Daddy. She has great sleeping habits and she loves it when she's the center of attention. She really hates to be left out of anything!
Elaina's 4 months old! Robert is 2.5 years!
