Lanning Christmas...

Tuesday eveing we were able to gather together to celebrate Christmas! Mom and Dad Lanning totally out-did themselves making everything so special for all of us! I was so hoping to be home this Christmas since I've missed the last 2 with them in Manton, but I am so thankful they could come here to celebrate Robert's birth!

Mom lovingly bought and prepared a huge dinner (roast, jello, potatoes, carrots, snap peas, apples and pudding dip, decorated cookie, ice-cream, etc.!) and decorated everything so thoughtfully and creatively! There were so many generous gifts to all of us from them!! It was especially fun to watch Mom and Dad give such great gifts for Robert, Brock, and Evie. Brock had so much fun opening everyone's presents and being "Santa". He's such a fun boy to be around! Mom and Dad gave us such generous gifts!! Thank you SO MUCH!! Little Robert slept through everything and never woke up.

Daniel and Candice came with Oli (cute Maltise dog)... they gave Robert two adorable outfits. Rebekah and Ben gave Robert the coolest Adidas shoes. Mom and Dad gave Robert a beautiful lamp that matches his bedding ... and other wonderful gifts that we'll have to get pictures of later.

Weight: 7 lbs and 10 oz

We are so thankful to the Lord!! Robert is very healthy and doing great!

Christmas!

Dr. Taylor just told me, "By next Monday, I'll be a Mom." My due date is tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 9), but if I don't have the baby by Friday, the Dr. will "start the process" and let me pick a day this weekend! Yeah!

I bought an artificial tree (sorry, Michigan friends!) and assembled it and decorated it Friday while Jason was at work. The little pink furniture is from Grandma Schmitt.

Jason has had a lot of practice putting things together for the baby! He stayed up late Friday night figuring out how to assemble this cute Boppy swing from Dad and Mom Hildebrand. THANKS SO MUCH! We'll love to use this for baby Hildebrand.

(Jason doesn't like to look at the camera when he's concentrating. I know I have a great lawyer husband because he thoroughly reads every word of the instructions.)

Daniel and Candice made a surprise stop yesterday and brought their cute little dog... which Mom and Dad Hildebrand and Jason and I enjoyed! Yes, I am holding the dog! (He's really cute!) Thanks for the cute sox and "My First Christmas" onesie, Daniel & Candice!

Thanksgiving!

We had Thanksgiving at our home today! Mom and Dad Hildebrand came from New York; Ben, Rebekah, Brock & Evie came from Lexington; and Don and Barb came, too! We worked hard to put all the food together (getting up at 4:30 AM two days in a row!)! Thanks to Rebekah for the wonderful, delicious, and creative desserts! Jason was such a huge help carving the turkey and cleaning up! I'm thankful to make it through Thanksgiving being 38 1/2 weeks pregnant!

Thank you, Rebekah, for making the desserts and for the adorable book for the baby! I can't wait to read it to him and help him learn all of your names!!
