I've been saying your name over and over since I left Michigan. Today Mama kept telling me you are coming tomorrow and I go to look for you because I don't really understand what TOMORROW means yet! I hope you and Papa have a great flight. We'll be excited to pick you up at the airport! I have a long list of things I want to do with you when you come.

I'm in Michigan! Nanny has so many fun toys for me to play with. I love playing outside, too! I have been eating so much food here. It is so good. Yesterday, I slept from 7:20PM-5:37AM without awaking!

We all wore green yesterday since we were on the camo team at church.

way too long....

It has been WAY TOO LONG since Mama blogged! She has to take a nap when I do and goes to bed early so she hasn't had time to keep up with anything besides church and piano lessons and me!

New Things:

• I am 19.5 months old!


• Lately, I've been eating applesauce with a spoon by myself. I use my left hand.


• I love to color using crayons and colored pencils. Sometimes I forget to color on the paper.


• I've gone to two doctor appointments with Mama. I'm really good at the Dr.'s office. I sit on a chair very quietly while Mama is talking to the doctor. I heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday!


• I really like to play the piano. I like to sing, although I don't say any words yet.


• Daddy took me to the YMCA splash pool last Wednesday when Mama was at church. We had a lot of fun. I was so tired when we got home that I fell asleep as Daddy was putting me into the bed.


• I like to read books and I prefer Daddy and Mama reading at the same time to me.


• I like singing, "Happy Birthday." We sing it in the car a lot.


• This Thursday Mama is going to leave me all day for the first time! Aunt Rebekah, Uncle Ben, Brock, and Evie will keep me company. Mama has some fun things for us to do while she is gone.


• I really like snack and meal time. Sometimes I bang on the fridge because I want food NOW!


• Sometimes we play Hide and Seek at night. Daddy and Mama take turns hiding. I like to find where they are!


• I can walk a mile all by myself. Mama's not interested in going fast anymore since she's been nauseous, so we take our time looking at the rocks and sticks on the way. I saw a Great Heron today!


• I'm going to bed a lot earlier since Mama is tired all the time. Sunday night I went to bed at 5:30PM and stayed in my bed until 5:50AM! Generally, I wake up between 5 and 5:30AM.


• I'm excited to see Nanny and Papa soon in Michigan. I haven't been there since CHRISTMAS!


• I like to walk around in Mama's sandals and high heels and Daddy's big work shoes. I look really funny!

I found a friend when we ate with Daddy last Friday at lunch time. On Fridays all kids get a free lunch! I got peanut butter and jelly, pudding, fruit, and juice in my own little lunch box!

When Mama pulls out the camera to take a picture and asks me to smile, I make this face!

Over and out

I awoke a few times last night which was really unusual since I've been sleeping through the night for a while. Mama awoke to comfort me the first 2 times and then sent in Daddy on the third try. Daddy made sure I was OK and then left me in my crib to lie down and return to sleep. I wasn't very happy about it; I managed to get out of my crib (it's a secret - Mama has no clue how I did it) and walk to Mama's room. Needless to say, I pulled off the stunt with flying colors because I got to spend the rest of the night in Mama and Daddy's bed. They were too afraid to put me back into the crib! We spent most of today going around to stores to find a toddler bed for me. We got a really nice one at Babies R Us - of course using a coupon. I'll try to send pictures soon.

Also, I'm really into multi-tasking. I like both Mama and Daddy to read different books to me at the same time. I can keep track of both stories really well. Mama says I get the multi-tasking from her side of the family.

I had a doctor's appointment last Monday. I got 2 shots. I weigh 24.5 lbs and I'm in the 90th + pecentile for height. Now I'm in the 25-50% for my head size and weight. I knew the shots were coming this time. I got pretty hysterical when they squished me onto the table and held down my arms and legs. I'm old enough to realize why I have to go to the doctor. Fortunately, I didn't have any reactions and I was as good as new right after it was done.

I like to hang out with two twin boys at the pool. There is also a little girl who is kind of nice. We swap toys since I like the ones they bring and they like the ones I bring. Mama and Daddy bought me a water toy that shoots out water. They like to play with it as much as I do.

I am really good at walking/running. When Mama goes on a walk, I like to walk right along side her. I take some toys to show the dogs when we pass them on the sidewalk. Sometimes the owners let me hold the leash. I like to kiss the dogs and flowers. I know not to pick the flowers but just to smell them.

I am really interested in the toilet now. Unfortunately, I've gotten in trouble for putting some things in the toilet that don't go in there. Mama and Daddy keep all the bathroom doors shut now. I have my own toilet seat and Mama tries to make me sit on it, although I'm not sure what to do on it yet. Sometimes I get in trouble for going #1 on the floor as I'm waiting to get on the seat.

We found plane tickets to see Papa and Nanny in August. I'm excited to see them since it has been a long time. I thought they were permanently stuck in the Skype camera on my computer, but Mama explained that it's just like a telephone.

July 4th Fun!

We had a great weekend! I watched a parade Saturday morning and then saw some firecrackers at Linszes' house Sunday evening. We had dinner with Linszes and Bob and Carol's family. Mom brought a fruit salad and I watched her cut the melons. I wet my pants when the firecrackers started!

Happy Father's Day

I wear my Crocs at the pool. Can you see my tan dots?!

Happy Father's Day! I made Daddy a poster and gave him a $5 Starbuck's certificate and Domino's pizza on Friday night. Mama made him an 8x10 collage including 17 pictures of Daddy and me and we got him a new swimsuit at Old Navy! Tomorrow Mama will make him brownies. We like to celebrate on the weekends since Sundays are busy. I love Daddy!

Happy birthday, Nanny! We had hoped to celebrate with you today, but we'll have a grand celebration the next time we see you! Godfreys came to visit us today! Unfortunately, I slept the whole time we were at the pool, but Mama snapped some pictures of Brock & Evie.

Straws and cousins

Godfreys met us at Outback tonight for dinner! Mama was given a gift certificate, so we got a great dinner for free! I wasn't too interested in the food, but I had fun with my straw and with Evie and Brock! Brock gave me a bunch of his clothes and toys and I'm going to have so much fun wearing them and playing with my new toys tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night Mama and Daddy had their first date night since I was born! They had an appreciation dinner with some church friends so they asked Uncle Daniel and Aunt Candice to play with me! I got to throw pennies in the fountain, walk around shops, go out to eat, and get my pictures "made" by my very talented Aunt Candice.

Aunt Candice is pregnant and due in November! On Monday I'll find out if I'm going to have a boy cousin or a girl cousin. I'll be happy with either because I like girls and I have lots of fun playing with boys.

Thank you for taking these pictures, Aunt Candice, and for sharing them with Mama! She loves them!!! I had a lot of fun with you. Maybe we can hang out again soon!

Daddy and I have such fun together when he is home. We love to wrestle on the floor. Daddy has to take his glasses off or I'll destroy them. I love spending time with him on Wednesday night and Sunday morning when Mama is at church.
