Thanks for the great pajamas, Aunt Jen! I love wearing them. Mama always gives me an extra squeeze when I wear them because she says I'm so cute.

My Russian friends just got a YMCA membership, too, so sometimes we see him at the pool. He calls me, "Wata." When I walked by his home today, Mama kept calling for me to come, and I was pretty obstinate and didn't want to obey. Then Mama realized Alex's face was glued to his window and he was looking at me! I was smiling at him wanting to play. Mama laughed and had a good laugh with Alex's Mama.

I was very ouchy this past weekend! My back teeth are coming in and I don't like the pain. I wouldn't eat anything - even bananas. I didn't feel like naps or freezer fruit bars or playing. I even threw up yesterday all over Mama for the first time!

Saturday I was invited to Hailey's home. I played the whole time with her pink and purple tea cup set. Girls' toys are cool.

Sunday we spent all day at church. I ate some brownies and kept begging Daddy by using the "more" sign - I squeeze the first 2 fingers together multiple times!

Monday it started to really warm up! I played outside and got licked by Molly, the dog, who walked by. Molly's owner let me feed her a biscuit, but I didn't want to let go of it!

Today I was pretty much back to my normal self. I went swimming and played at the park. I can crawl up the stairs and go down the slide by myself. I've been saying, "Nana," all the time.

Mama picked out a new toy for me from my cousin, Isla, using a gift certificate she gave me at Christmas time. I can't wait to show it to you once the photos upload.

ALEX - my 2 year old friend

My friend, Alex, turned 2 Wednesday and I went to his birthday party. He knows Russian, but he also knows English, so we can play together, even though we don't really talk yet. He shares his toys really nicely with me even though he is bigger than I.

Mama and I went to The Picture People today for the first time without Daddy. Nanny gave me this shirt and onesie and Brock gave me the jeans. Grandma and Grandpa gave me the shoes (via GAP gift card).

Happy Birthday, Aunt Reba!

I had a lot of fun yesterday at Aunt Rebekah's! Brock and Evie and Papa and Nanny were there, too. We celebrated Aunt Reba's birthday with a fun trip to the zoo and a birthday meal/dessert! I even ate ice cream. Thanks for the new clothes, Aunt Rebekah, and all the pizza and flour mixes and muffins! We hope you have a really fun day. Do you know it is snowing here today??

By the way, I loved the zoo. Mama forgot her camera, but I loved the ostrich the most, I think. The bears were wrestling and the flamingos were squalking, and I saw so many fish and birds! I even fell asleep in the car for parts of the trip.

Daddy turned 31 yesterday. Mama and I gave him 2 dress shirts and a card with chocolate on the front. Daddy watched me while Mama played for a wedding and then Daddy got a free birthday cone at Marble Slab.

Singing

I love to sing - especially during the Nightly News. I love the Olympic fanfare theme! Sometimes I even match Mama's pitch.

first professional hair cut

I had my first real hair cut at Great Clips yesterday. Mama had a $6.99 coupon, so she thought it would be fun! I sat really still and Mama held me on her lap while he cut my hair. He let me play with his spray water bottle and Mama fed me Cheerios when I had to keep my head down. When they used the electric razor at the end, I thought it was really cool. Do I look like a little boy?

14th month birthday, Feb.13, 2010

I awoke to lots of snow Saturday morning! I went outside to play in it, but fell right on my face and got really wet since I tried to wipe off my face with my snowy mittens! I decided I wanted to go inside after 5 minutes!

I've started singing!

I cried myself back to sleep at night a few times this week.

A two year old girl at the park gave me a hug and kiss.

When Mama does the laundry and asks me to find Daddy's socks or Mama's pants, I can and do.
