Aunt Rebekah came on Friday for a visit with Brock and Evie! We all had fun going out to eat at Applebee's and Steak and Shake for shakes! Aunt Rebekah watched me while Mama played for a funeral at church. I liked holding the ice at the restaurant!

New, New, New

I am doing something new every day. This past week I showed Mama how I can get my own diapers, raise my hands over my head when asked, kick my legs and move my hands to swim in the pool, identify our home from afar, make a "moo" sound like a cow, listen for the birds outside, and find all the chestnuts on the ground between our house and the neighbor's. I walk to the park by myself without riding the stroller, although I take my time examining nature (rocks, sticks, mud, leaves, etc.) on the sidewalk. I give Daddy and Mama kisses and hugs when they ask. It makes them really happy. When Daddy comes home for supper, I want whatever he is eating instead of what is on my spoon. If he pretends to eat my food, I'll take a bite of it then, but I like his homemade mac and cheese better than my squash and peas.

Daddy is with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend in Buffalo. Yesterday we went to Daddy's work to eat for lunch and I rode the elevator to his office. I gave M&M bags to some of his secretaries for Valentine's Day.

The Godfreys are coming to visit us today! Mama has to play for a funeral, so Aunt Rebekah will watch me. Did you see the videos where I can identify my animal friends and Brock, Evie, and Micah? I can also identify cats, gorillas, dogs, balloons, flags, clocks, girls, and a few other things when Mama asks me to point to them in the books. I have one book called "5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" and I point to my head when Mama reads that one fell off the bed and bumped his head!

Daddy - I miss you, but Mama let me sleep in her bed last night, so I'm doing just fine. Would you give the blue and white doggy at Grandma's house a hug for me?

I'm 13 months old!

I met Daddy and his friend, Drew, for lunch today! Drew gave me a cool tiger that roars and lights up for my birthday.

I like..

• Shadows: I like to see myself wave.
• Mama's piano students and when they play with me.
• Brushing my teeth and imitating Mama spitting into the sink after rinsing.
• Finding Mama and Daddy's belly buttons.
• Corn and peas.
• Choking myself by shoving all 5 fingers into the back of my mouth and finding the piece of food that's hard to swallow. Then I proudly hand the piece I was looking for to Mama. (Mama doesn't like this!)
• Reading books at night with Mama and Daddy.
• Pushing the stroller - not sitting in it!

High socks

Mama couldn't resist taking a picture of me with just high socks and a diaper. I was wearing my new jeans from Aunt Jen/Uncle Jeremy before my necessary diaper change and I wiggled out to play before Mama could put on the jeans again. I picked out a card for Grandma H. at the store today and carried it to the mailbox by myself. I saw every card that had a doggy on the front, but all the cards at my level were Valentine's Day cards, so I couldn't send that yet.

Daddy's Blackberry

I know I don't match very well, but Mama wanted to get some quick pictures of me playing with Daddy's Blackberry before bed. Mama makes me wear a sweatshirt to bed so I'll stay warm. I can climb up on the sofa now. We went to Jason's Deli for the first time today and it was SO GOOD. Graham & Julie and Isla gave us a gift certificate there for Christmas. Did you know that I like cottage cheese, sour cream, mozerella cheese, and clementines?

PAJAMAS - dinosaur

I am big enough to wear my new birthday pajamas from Uncle Jeremy & Aunt Jen! They are really warm and nice! Thanks so much!

So many new things....

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Tubbs for this cute and warm outfit and Nanny for the slippers! It's cold here. I've had a runny nose for a week and Mama hasn't let me outside for a long time.

Grandma H. bought me this cute bowl and spoon for Christmas! Thank you!

I am learning so many new things every day! Here are some of them:

1. Mama sings and plays "low notes" and "high notes" on the piano and I play along and know the difference. I know how to clap in quarter notes and I love to bang on anything to make a drum noise!

2. I can pull out all the wipes and Kleenex tissues from the box. I can put them all back. I know what it means to "take out" and "put back."

3. I know the difference between the words Mama and Daddy. If Mama tells me to give something to Daddy, I take it to him. If Daddy tells me to give something to Mama, I take it to her.

4. I know how to pick out a book from my pile if Mama starts to read it out loud. I love turning all the pages.

5. I can walk aroud the house all by myself and I love to step on Mama or Daddy to get higher. I've crawled onto the sofa using them as a stair step.

6. If anybody in the house eats peant butter, I want some, too. I can't get enough of it. If there is something else on my plate, and someone is eating peanut butter, I won't eat it until I get some peanut butter first.

7. If I see someone talking on a cell phone, I'll hold my hand up to my ears and pretend I'm talking, too. I've called Nanny, Rebekah, Daddy, and Grandpa H. all by myself using speed dials.

8. I know where Mama's belly button is and I know where to find mine, too. I know where to find my head and fingers and toes and nose.

9. I help Mama pull out all the clothes from the laundry. She puts it in the basket and I take out each piece before she folds it.

10. I make funny bubbly sounds with my lips and mouth.

11. I love to tear paper. If Mama is cutting coupons, I get the leftovers and tear the paper into little bits.

My Michigan Brothers

We always love to get together with our good friends, the Whites! We wish they lived closer! I like Matt and Jacob very much. They are nice to me!

Stand 'n Spin

Grandpa brought this sit and spin when he was here for Thanksgiving. I like to stand and spin now. It scares my mama, but I haven't fallen yet. I had my very first cold this week. I gave it to Daddy. For the first time I didn't feel like eating much food. I feel a little better today.
