Preparing to fly!

I have been having a great time in Michigan with Nanny and Papa Lanning in Manton! Mama said she hasn't been able to blog since her camera doesn't download pictures into the Lannings' computer. Nanny has been taking great pictures and putting them on her blog. (Check here for pictures!) I was PERFECT on the airplane flights! Mama said I slept the whole time. We got to spend Friday night with the Whites and we loved seeing them again. They drove us to Birch Run where Nanny and Papa drove us the rest of the way. I saw all of Mama's friends at Nanny and Papa's 25th Surprise Anniversary party at church. They have been at Rollins 25 years! I sleep until 8:30AM in the mornings since it is so dark here. Mama and Daddy have been shooting baskets for the first time in a year and a half! Daddy has made 4 half court shots already and Mama made 41 free throws in a row but I started crying so she missed the next one. Nanny makes me laugh all the time and Papa plays peek-a-boo with me. Aunt Mary came for lunch today and I had fun sitting on her lap. I got to see Uncle Jerry and Aunt Connie, Uncle Maury, and a lot of church friends who saw me for the first time! Nanny and Papa gave us a wonderful Easter basket! I got such fun things! I'll show them on a video soon. I've been to Cadillac, choir practice, AWANA, and tonight I get to go to a baby shower. I love having Daddy home all day and so does Mama!!!! Mama will add more pictures when we return home.

I had fun playing on Mama's Michigan blanket that Sawatzkys gave us. Mama thinks I look like a big football player in the picture above. Daddy said my pants look cool like Uncle Chuck's. I wanted to tell Uncle Daniel and Papa that I'm rooting for Michigan even though Daddy and Mama are die-hard Indiana fans... but Indiana stinks this year and didn't even make the tournament!

I made sure that I am wearing green today. Notice how high I can hold my head! I am getting so strong and big. Mama says I get my chubby thighs from her. I FINALLY got to go outside again! It has rained since last Thursday and the sun didn't even come out for 4 days!

In the car ride Robert was so interested in his new buddy that Nanny gave him for Halloween before he was born!

When I started putting these pants and slippers on Robert, they reminded me of Santa Clause's elves. I decided the sweater and hat would add to the funny outfit. Of course, he wasn't going out in public!

I'm always so glad for Saturdays when Jason can help me run errands! We really needed groceries since we had just 2 potatoes, oatmeal. eggs, and frozen veggies in the house. Robert was awake really early so we went to Target, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter, and Walmart all by 9:40AM. Still rainy....

Congratulations, Graham and Julie Hildebrand!! Little Isla Elizabeth Rose was born on Friday, March 13! She is 6 lbs and 6 oz. We can't wait to see pictures of her. She and Robert are exactly 3 months apart. (Jason and Graham are first cousins.)

We had a rainy, colder day today, so since we couldn't walk outside today, and Mama only had 2 lessons instead of 4, we went to meet Daddy for lunch at Jack in the Box! He treated us to yummy milkshakes. (Deb, I'm pretty sure you and Becky gave this cute outfit to Robert at the shower in Manton! It is so nice and warm!!)

P.S. I've been sleeping so much lately! It must be because it is a rainy day. Last night I slept from 7:30PM - 8:50 AM (although I awoke 3x to eat) and was awake for 45 minutes to eat, change, skype with Nanny and Papa, and read my books, and then I fell asleep again for over an hour!
